History

Paul Thomas Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been serving Miami and Commerce area families for years. We are honored to be a part of the rich history of this community and plan to be a part of it for many years to come.

Paul Thomas Funeral Home has been serving the families in the Ottawa County Community and surrounding communities since 1948. We value our reputation for providing quality services, with the personal attention and professionalism our family has given for over 65 years.

Paul and Wanda Thomas opened their first funeral home in Picher, Oklahoma in 1948. The Thomas family, along with their son Paul Ingram Thomas, opened a second location in Miami, Oklahoma in 1991. In 2005, the Thomas family accquired their location in Commerce, Oklahoma. The Picher location was closed in 2010, due to a government buyout of the town, but the Miami and Commerce locations continue to serve the Ottawa County Community as the oldest family owned and operated funeral homes. In 2014 we changed the name from Paul Thomas Funeral Home to Paul Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service to better reflect the variety of services we offer to the families we proudly serve.
